The ASMAF Scholarship Program is a need-based financial aid programme. The financial situation of the student and her family serves as the main factor in determining financial need.
The Foundation also considers academic ability, professional potential and leadership qualities.
The Ajesola Solarin Majekodunmi Foundation Scholarship provides:

ASMAF Scholarship Requirements
To qualify for the ASMAF Scholarship Program, the applicant must:
- Be female and indigent
- Be Nigerian citizens
- Be entering tertiary education for the first time
- Have admission into or be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate programme
- Study at a public Nigerian university
- Study Medicine, Law, Actuary, Engineering, Accountancy, Architecture or another eligible professional course
- Meet the academic and financial need requirements
- Demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential

- JAMB admission letter
- GCE, NECO or WASC results
- Evidence of required credit passes
- Post-JAMB result or other university admission evidence, where applicable
- Current registration evidence and official transcript for existing students
Incomplete or false information will make an application ineligible.
Selection Process
ASMAF Scholarship will verify applicants’ eligibility and may contact recommenders.
Selection considers:
- Financial need
- Academic ability
- Course of study
- State of origin
- Geographical zone of the admitting university
- Available scholarship funds
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. ASMAF’s selection decisions are final.

When Can the ASMAF Scholarship Be Terminated?
The award may be terminated if:
- The recipient no longer meets the eligibility requirements
- The university terminates her studentship
- She stops being a full-time student
- She fails to pursue her course with competence and diligence
- She provides false or misleading information
- She fails to submit the annual Progress Report
A terminated award will not be reactivated unless ASMAF determines that the termination occurred in error.
Scholarship Renewal
The ASMAF Scholarship is renewable annually if the recipient maintains eligibility and satisfactory academic performance.
Awardees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, participate in ASMAF programmes and submit an annual Progress Report.
Recipients must not hold another scholarship without written ASMAF approval.
Conditions of the ASMAF Scholarship Award
The scholarship normally covers a full academic year and is renewable annually for the duration of the approved course.
Renewal depends on continued eligibility, satisfactory academic performance and participation in ASMAF programmes.
Awardees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Awardees must also:
- Submit a one-page annual Progress Report
- Participate in ASMAF programmes
- Maintain satisfactory academic performance
- Follow the approved course of study
Awardees must not engage in full-time employment while receiving the scholarship.
Limited part-time employment is allowed if it does not interfere with studies. ASMAF approval is required where employment could affect the student’s course of study.
Awardees must not hold another scholarship or bursary without written approval from ASMAF.
The scholarship cannot be transferred to another student or institution.

- Complete the online form.
- Upload the required documents.
- Provide your academic and financial information.
- Complete the recommendation requirements.
- Review and submit your application.
Only completed applications received before the deadline will be considered.
ASMAF Scholarship Deadline
Application starts on August 1, 2026.
The application deadline is Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
Late applications will NOT be accepted.
